lyrics
Sink or swim,
Yeah, you knew I’d drown but you still let me go out in the water
Guess you thought you’d save me if you changed your mind
But it’s too late now, yeah I’m long gone and on the other side of the water
And you’re left on your own ‘cept for the voice inside
It says at high tide, waves will come and let you know that I will never let you go
Sun comes up you’re still waiting, sun goes down you’re still waiting
Tide comes in you’re still waiting, tide goes out you’re still waiting
You won’t win this game we’re playing ‘cos I’ve got all the time in the world
Just know that I’ll be waiting
At high tide, waves will come and let you know that I will never let you go
It’s times like this that you start to question why
We’re down here whilst the birds stay in the sky
I tried to reach you to say that it’s okay
But it’s too late and all the birds have flown away
At high tide, waves will come and let you know that I will never let you go

If/when the apocalypse ever occurs, The Black Queen's Fever Daydream will be its official soundtrack and manifesto. And, I'm living for it as we dance ourselves into oblivion. DAS VILLAIN

One of the most unsettling albums i have heard in a while. Chat Pile creates a grotesque blend of noise and groove that brings me back everytime. scarface6204
The sophomore album from former session musician Imraan Paleker highlights his modern soul, alt-rock, jazz, and electronic sensibilities. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 16, 2020

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
